Jason Schein is the founder and Executive Director of the Bighorn Basin Paleontological
Institute, a new nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to paleontology and earth science research and education.
Jason holds a B.S. and an M.S. in geology from Auburn University, and has taught geology and paleontology at universities in
Alabama and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has published numerous papers and abstracts on a wide variety of subjects, including
paleoecology, extinct fish, crocodiles and giant turtles, and the end-Cretaceous mass extinction.
Jason lives in Philadelphia, PA, where he fills his time by sharing his love of the natural world with his family and by being a dad.
